JOB # 2 – THINKING QUESTION
Do you guys think the Scout's whole mission for that day was to dress as a confederate and attempt to get rid of any dedicate southern before the union attack that part of the area? I would have imagined that dressed as confederate solider would make it really hard for him to get close to union camps. Finally, do you guys think the Scout stopped by the bridge to informed the men guarding, that there will be possible attempts of sabotage on the bridge?
To me it really does seem like that was the scouts whole purpose. After he told Peyton about the potential "sabotage," the scout retreated back to his camp as soon as night fell, indicating he had no other business to attend to.
ReplyDeleteYes, the scouts whole trip seems to planned to be a coincidence and that could be an effective way to eliminate troublemakers.
ReplyDeleteYes it seems that the scouts purpose that day was to give a fake lead to the enemy. And it would be necessary to head back to the bridge and give warning to his fellow soldiers/any officers waiting there.
ReplyDeleteIf the scout went back to warn any fellow officers or soldiers, Peyton was almost guaranteed to get caught.
